My name is Hadi Abilmona. I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Beirut, Lebanon.

I created Sketches of the Self to help bridge the gap between psychological theories and the everyday practice of psychotherapy. This site brings together professional insight, research-based knowledge, and my personal experience to support both individuals and fellow mental health professionals.

Through my interactive sketches, I share research-based information and insights on various psychological theories. Along with the recommended resources, and upcoming courses and webinars, my goal is to help you better understand how the human psyche develops and how you can navigate it to live a more fulfilling life.

In the therapy room, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can speak freely, without judgment and at your own pace.

My approach is integrative, with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy (ST). I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based methods to guide our work together. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work side by side to help you understand your thoughts and emotions, manage current challenges, and explore deeper patterns that are often shaped by early relationships and past experiences.

The goal is to understand what holds you back and strengthen what helps you move forward, so you can live a more adaptive, meaningful, and authentic life that honors all parts of who you are.

Whether you are facing a specific concern or exploring broader questions of identity and purpose, therapy can be a space where you “re-sketch” the missing pieces of the self.
