Hi!
My name is Hadi Abilmona, I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Beirut, Lebanon.
I created this website to bridge the gap between psychotherapy as a practice and the psychological theories and research that constantly shape it.
Through my sketch-blog and recommended resources, I aim to help my clients make sense of their experiences and gain a better understanding of themselves. Sketches of the Self is also the place for people and practitioners to learn, stay updated, and contribute to the field of Psychology.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your understanding of psychology or take the next steps to working through your personal challenges, I invite you to explore, reflect, and reach out for individualized therapy sessions when you feel ready.

Approach & Training
In the therapy room, I provide you with a safe space where you can express yourself freely, without judgement, and at your own pace.
I utilize an eclectic approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we find ways that help you express and understand your thoughts and emotions, manage your current struggles, and recognize repeated and maladaptive life patterns possibly stemming from your childhood experiences.
The ultimate goal is to help you live a healthy, adaptive, and authentic human experience that captures all parts of the self that make you who you are.
